Final day of my knocks me off my feet challenge. Ive deliberately - TopicsExpress

Final day of my knocks me off my feet challenge. Ive deliberately avoided Springsteen, Genesis, and early Hall and Oates because their music touched nerves in me in advance that made an objective listening impossible. Still there was enough left to give me a rush. I was totally in awe of Stevie Wonder in the seventies. He had a knack of finding the pulse of whatever he was writing about and I thought any songwriter should aspire to being that good. It seemed that he was there forever, but really his peak lasted about five years. There was some almighty stuff there though. His material normally needed a few listens to get into but Songs In the Key of Life was full of more accessible songs. History has shown that he went way too far down that road but for me this was always goosebumpland right from day one. My nomination for ty goes to Gary Mooney, a man whose taste I share in a lot of respects and have got to know a few goodies from.
