Final indy ref status (you will all be glad to hear!). Saw this posted by someone on Facebook and thought Id share! #voteno It infuriates me that Salmond has taken the Scottish flag and the history, culture and patriotism of OUR country and used it to celebrate his extreme political movement. These symbols do not represent the YES vote. They represent Scotland and its people, including me and my ancestors. Some of the videos of the protests at the weekend are like Bannockburn and it looks like Scotland has lost the plot (awaiting my abuse!) This is the modern day world and about politics........ Not getting together for a Hogmanay style sing-along to Flower of Scotland. For the record, I hate Cameron. I think the way he has handled the campaign is atrocious and testament to why this has got out of hand. He has not celebrated or advertised the benefits of the union well enough to counterbalance Salmonds salesman fantasies. Despite that, I also understand that this is not about Cameron and the Tories. Scotland needs to be part of the union to grow from strength to strength.....there are too many unanswered questions and people in influential positions who are variables to Scotlands future. You may criticise these people, such as bankers, major company shareholders and politicians but they make the world go round unfortunately. You may claim they are scaremongering but that wont help you in the future. These bodies are in control. Whether Scotland is independent or not, you need big companies to bring in investment and help create jobs in Scotland. Without that we have no chance of reducing poverty which is one of Salmonds main promises. I see the scaremongering line as the standard response to anything that he doesnt have an answer for! I think everyone has chosen their camp by now so there is little point in saying much more. I just wish the country that I love and I call home the best this week. #bettertogether
