Finalists 2014 NSW Sports Federation Awards Author: Athletics NSW Administrator/Friday, 19 December 2014/Categories: News 19 December 2014 Finalists 2014 NSW Sports Federation Awards This year marks the twentieth NSW Sports Federation Awards. The prestigious awards recognise the athletes, coaches and many volunteers that are vital to the running of sports in NSW. Commonwealth games champions, Dani Samuels (discus) and Angie Ballard (1500m wheelchair) are finalises in the Athlete of the Year and Athlete of the Year with a Disability Sport categories. Both athletes face competitive fields which include world champions. Four NSW juniors are finalists including world junior silver medallist, Georgia Wassall, Youth Olympic games silver medallist Tay-Leiha Clark, Commonwealth Games para athlete Rae Anderson and Oceania record breaking leg amputate, Sarah Walsh. Long serving volunteers, Evelyn Stark and Ted Simmons are also recognised.
