Finally an opportunity to share my last three days! They have been bittersweet (Sweet part)….FRIDAY NIGHT: Worked the Back to the Fifties festival all night in uniform. I love my job! Great crowd but a little chilly! Fun filled evening for sure. SATURDAY: I worked the festival in uniform all day while my campaign team, my lovely wife Linda, and my daughter Taylor managed the Nielsen for Sheriff Booth. Thanks to them and many supporters that also worked my booth. Great turnout and beautiful weather! I met so many wonderful people. SUNDAY MORNING: Taylor and I had a great worship service at Zionsville United Methodist Church. SUNDAY NIGHT: Taylor and I had the honor of attending the Traders Point Christian Church – Night of Prayer for Public Safety. What an awe inspiring church and a great worship service. Having prayer lifted for all of our public safety was a blessing for me! Prayer will be the only way that this violence will stop! MONDAY: (Bitter part) paid my final respects to Officer Nick Schultz of the Merrillville Police Department. RIP Officer Schultz…until we meet again! God Speed! Big Dog
