Finally dads sleepless COMET chasing nights paid off hahahahhahahha!!!!!! His photograph of Comet ISON, host on 22 Nov 2013 by P. Kikon (Kohima) 4.30 am, with a Nikon D310 + 250mm telescope got featured in Indias Astronomical Campaign Eyes on Ison.. My nerdy boss used to carry his big telescope up to Ministers Hill, wake up at 3 AM and do some star gazing chasing the Comet called ISON... Using some loha tina he built a camera holder in the eye piece of his telescope! Then borrowed my bro Liyo Kikons SLR and got a crash course on handling the camera by getting some tips from Inoto Nawang Khulu and Tiatemjen Jamir lolz... So finally got some kinda clear shots of the Comet.... Some Indian Astronomers forum came up with this campaign through the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, TIFR, Mumbai meeting in April 2013... This Comet ISON has just approached the Sun now, and is at a very very interesting juncture. If the comet survives the Suns super boiling nuclear explosions, then it will shoot off like a catapault with the suns gravitational force and COME OUT WITH A SUPER BRIGHT TAIL, WHICH WILL BE VISIBLE WITH OUR NAKED EYE!!!! Lets cross our fingers and hope, the comet doesnt get vapourized by the Sun!!!! If it survives its encounter with the sun, then Comet ISON could probably become the Comet of the Century! Cheerios yo Ponthungo Kikon! eyesoncometison.in/picsfromindia.html
