Finally got my thoughts together enough to share a little on our Wedding Weekend for Sarah and Chris. If I am boring you, please move on to the next post. Friday we had a bridesmaid luncheon. Since Jacob was the Man of Honor and the only male there, they invited Papa to attend too. It was his first bridesmaid luncheon and with all the beautiful young ladies there you know he enjoyed that. Food was delicious, company was very special. Rehearsal on Friday evening. Rehearsal dinner given by Chris parents, Jane and Warren Horn at the Space Downtown in Charlottesville and what an experience that was. Superb food, four piece Jazz band which was excellent, dancing, dancing and fun, fun, fun. Company was very special again. Jane and Warren outdid themselves. Saturday went to McDonalds for breakfast, Omni a bit pricey for us. Wedding pictures at 4, where we met all our new family. Liked them and look forward to our lives merging. Wedding was perfect. Bridesmaids in beautiful blue dresses, groomsmen in Air Force uniforms and tuxes. Our other grandchildren, Ryan an usher in his first tux, handsome, wow, and our Karen in beautiful cocktail dress and highhhhhh heels despite her 6 foot frame, gorgeous. The groom in Air Force dress and here comes the bride in the most gorgeous dress, especially made for her. How does a grandmother explain that kind of feeling, impossible. Wedding was warm, sweet and so loving. Reception was out of sight, Sarah and Chris chose an elegant and loving kind of reception. Food that was awesome, photo booth which was so much fun, cake cutting with a military sword, and dancing, dancing, dancing. The send off was under military swords and flairs. What a sight. They now wait for their assignment for medical residency on Friday and then a honeymoon to Italy and Prague, and somewhere else that I have forgotten. What a special weekend. Please pray with me that God will bless their lives with and everlasting love. To all my family and friends, I share this with love. March 15, 2014 a day that will live in my heart.
