Finally had time to sit back and think about the past 5 days. What an experience it has been. We left gisborne excited and looking forward to the challenges ahead and right from day 1 we werent disappointed...it was a big eye opener for all and the level of softball on display exceeded our expectations. The first day at the tournament was one of the hardest most testing day of softball we have ever had (mentally), but in hindsight it grounded us as a team and made the girls more determined to play better. We are firm believers that respect is something that is earned not given and it was obvious to us that pare and alex had that from there team mates (in there own different ways lol) with these two girls being more experience than the others we asked more of them and they did not disappoint us, thank you girls. We were fortunate to pick up two talented young ladies Rongo(sis) and Kimi who (should move back home bahahaha) have been exsposed to the level of softball our girls had not seen. They were a great influence on the team, without them we would have struggled. We thank you girls and your whanau for all their support and encouragement. You will always be apart of our Tairawhiti whanau. It was very pleasing to see one of our young girls step up, these were big games that we played and she showed alot of maturity (no emotions) and deffinately held her own on the pitcher mount, she was our go to person when we needed to change things up, with abit more confidence Jamie (BOB) you can do it, we believe in you. To the rest the girls, to see the progress from each one of use is the reason we love to coach and keep wanting to come back. The memories made is something we will never forget, we hope that you enjoyed the experience and learnt from it, as everyday made us better coaches. Least we forget the A TEAM lol , Tracey thankyou for scoring/talleys, driver(to the BP with your boot open bahaha)and our late night antics with COFFEE lol you rock bub...and of course the Wanoa whanau, we appreciate all that use do, if we didnt have your support we wouldnt be able to give our all to the girls, we could not thank use enough...see use the next trip :-). Wishing all the girls the best for the future...see use on the diamond HEY PEOPLE.....SHOW ME HOW YOU JIGALOW TAIRAWHITI U15 GIRLS Bk-Frnt, Kimihia Tangianau, Reace McBeth, Taylor TeAho-Rangi, Paisley Maynard-Day, Kaeo Otene, Ana Houia, Teylla Joseph, Jamie Wanoa, Jazmyne Kingi, Parehuia Teira, Rongomai Luke-Royal, Alexandra Tuhou-Smith.
