Finally have internet at my Moms! Yay! Communication again!! Ive missed everyone...lol. Heres an update on Mom. She has good days and bad days. Lately she has been getting out of the bed by using her walker...spent several hours at the kitchen table visiting today! Thats very different for her!!! She was so tired but enjoyed being out of the bed! Her short-term memory is so bad, especially over the last week. We were told by the nurse that she has an aorta aneurism in her abdomen area. She said it was in her medical records, but no one had ever told us this. The nurse believes the dizziness, sudden increase in memory issues and the pulse in her stomach area are all signs that the aneurism may be thinning. She told us that Mom has three terminal issues that are ticking time bombs and could cause her to go instantly. Only time will tell. I am blessed to be able to spend this time with her...although it does get stressful when you answer the same questions over and over in a short period of time! She had a melt down a few days ago, and I didnt handle it very well. She made lots of threats and told me to go home. I told her that wasnt going to happen. It amazes me how the dementia can cause such irrational behavior. Ive been praying for my patience...I know that is a touchy thing to pray for...lol!!! I do pray I can persevere and see this through for her...and for me! Your prayers are so greatly appreciated!!! Blessings!!
