Finally here! Our first Alien Abduction Tour is this Friday! Its not too late to join in, just make your reservations and meet us at Go AZ on Friday morning. Hotel info is on the event page (link below). There will be a bunch of SCMA riders joining us because Alien Abduction is part of their Travelers Award program. Well be using our Club Dinner at the Codfather as a meet and greet for everyone going. Even if youre not able to join us on Alien Abduction, come on out to meet some hardcore long distance riders. This weekend should be a blast, but note that it will be hot! Bring the appropriate gear and I highly recommend using a hydration system like a CamelBak to keep hydrated. Details, maps and weather: azratpack.net/Events/Entries/2014/6/26_Club_Dinner.html Alien Abduction Tour June 27, 2014 at 8:30 AM Join us on a journey that starts at Go AZ Motorcycles in Scottsdale, Arizona then leads up to Page along Lake Powell and a stop for the night in Kanab, UT. Day two will start off with a blast through Zion National Park then a lunch stop outside the infamous Area 51 in Rachael, NV. We will then head south towards Las Vegas via Valley of Fire and the shores of Lake Mead to our stopping point for the night on the Las Vegas Strip. The ride will be moderately paced but entertaining. Great for all level of riders! We will break up the group into two if necessary. Please feel free to download and print the map and route sheet below. Email victor@azratpack if you’d like a GPX file of the route for your GPS. Note: This is an SCMA Travelers Award Ride. To qualify,you must be a member of the SCMa (sc-ma). For proof that you participated and completed the ride, you must take a photo with El Chino Loco and/or El Presidente at the start at Go AZ and at the end in Las Vegas. Day 1 Itinerary: Meet at Go AZ Motorcycles at 8:30 am with a rider’s meeting at 8:50 where we will go over the route and discuss gas stops, then side stands up at 9:00 am. Lunch stop will be at Brandy’s Restaurant & Bakery in Flagstaff. Stop for the night at the Parry Lodge in Kanab, UT. It is highly recommended that you make reservations as soon as possible. Day 2 Itinerary: Side stands up at 8:00 am from the Parry Lodge and head towards Zion National Park. Please note that the entry fee for the park is $25. National Park Passes are accepted. The 15 mile scenic ride through the park is well worth it! Lunch stop will be at the Little A’Le’Inn in Rachel, NV outside of Area 51 along the Extraterrestrial Highway. We will then head south towards Las Vegas via Valley of Fire and the shores of Lake Mead. The stop for the night will be at the Luxor Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. Day 3 Itinerary: Let’s meet for breakfast at the buffet in the Luxor at 8:00 am then head back to the Phoenix area with side stands up by 9:30 am. Optional lunch stop in Wikiup, AZ.
