Finally home from the doctor. We dont really know much more yet. They remeasured the fluid on the babies neck and the numbers were much higher today then yesterday. So we opted to do an invasive procedure called a CVS (Chorionic villus sampling), where they go in through the abdomen to obtain a sample of the placenta. This test will give us definite answers if the baby has a chromosomal or genetic problem. It hurt but was worth it knowing that we will have definite answers. The only problem is it takes two weeks for the results, but we will have preliminary results on Tuesday. The waiting sucks, but knowing that we are on the way to getting some answers makes me feel a little better. The good thing is that as of right now, the baby looks perfect except for the fluid on its neck. We are taking this as a good sign and hoping for the best. Gods got this. Whatever He has planned for us, we can handle.
