Finally, the footage has unearthed of this very rare surprise performance at The Lab in San Francisco for Godwaffle Nosie Pancakes. I was so blessed to be a part of with some of my closest friends (family) and guys I respect so much as people and artists.This was the only show I played at all after ending playing live in September of 11 and finally returning in May of 13 in a similar type of setting singing for U R WALCOME unexpectedly. Alike U R WALCOME, this group consisted of getting together spontaneously with close friends that have all known each other for years and really know the deep channels of our creative histories. Id say these are my brothers. All three of these guys have had a major impact on me not only as an artist but really as a person too. So here it is, that one and only time this happened. Jay Korber - known for being part of Ettrick, Nuclear Death Wish, Santorum, Burmese and countless other great improv groups in the Bay Area. Jay has been a major inspiration for years for his music, his mind and his strength. Knowing the things Jay has handled with grace in his life has really inspired me to push through after all that I have been through as well. Mikey Yeda - long time brother #greenandgold #cbhboys #kailuakings future-legend who is currently singing for SickEm, guitar in Santorum and generally putting his flavor on everything he touches. Mikey also plays in my live band on occasion and we have hours and hours of recordings as our duo ACMY. Dylan Reznick - another long time brother. One of my truest friends in the darkest most painful time of my life. A mind amongst minds in my generations brilliant musical creators. I blame a lot of the light bulb turning on in my head as to how to go about this project on him. Dylan is best known for his work as part of the production duo Friendzone which I frequently collaborate with on my new material. I think maybe this or when U R WALCOME played in 2013 for Brutal Sound FX Festival we the only times Grux ever seemed to like anything I did (Besides saplings?). Maybe not even this. I love remembering that Rubber O Cement is one of the artists Ive done the most shows with - no matter what kind of music I made, starting with my teenage years. Want. to do. this. again.
