Finally, the inevitable split. TUQ announces the end of dharna in Islamabad and orders his followers to pack up and move back to homes in two days time. IKs PTI will now have to continue at its own. This was quite expected after the failure of the dharna leaders in realizing their stated aims within the stated time frame. It is however, true that they have shaken to their heels, the traditional exploitative and corrupt political mafias of Pakistan. Hence, if the climate of Pakistani governance improves in near future, much credit will go to the dedicated workers of PAT and PTI who have faced all the tribulations and made significant sacrifices during the last ten weeks.
