It is an excellent movie loosely based on true events about a man diagnosed with AIDS in 1986, fighting to extend his life, while helping other AIDs patients by smuggling medications from around the world. Matthew McConaughey who lost nearly 50 pounds deserves his Oscar for his powerful performance and so does Jared Leto in an outstanding supporting role.
