Finally watched Lucy. I dont personally prescribe to theory that humans only access 10% of their brain. If that theory was to hold true by that standard Lucy is a good movie. The movies back story and general plot pacing were absolutely horrendous. The writer didnt actually give an explanation as to what C.P,H.4 actually was but instead compared it to something having the power of an atomic bomb. The writer didnt create a mentally engaging scenario even though the story was about the intricacies of the human mind. The love interest was introduced as a non-love interest but merely a reminder to her as to what being human was like. This was completely irrelevant because the writer, audience, and characters all knew that she would eventually no longer be human she said so herself early after introduction of the drug into her system. I dont feel pain, fear, desire. Its like all things that make us human are fading away. Why foreshadow the end of the movie so boldly to introduce a love interest that can never be utilized? Because the author knows that it is something people look to see in movies in this time period and they thought it would be a booster to their audience reviews. The movie did however give in interesting insight as to how the author believes the universe, matter, and connections truly exist. Just because the theory came from a movie doesnt make it any less feasible then one that comes from a professional scientist. All in all I would give the movie a 6/10
