Finally watched the TCM Private Screenings interview with Robert Osborne. Alec Baldwin barely got a word in edgewise - the guy loves to talk, and has some GREAT stories! I did not know he had a daily column in the Hollywood Reporter for years before he took this job. Nice point that back in the 70s knowledge was so unorganized that no one really had an easy to access record of who or what movies had been nominated for Oscars - until he researched it all and put it into a book. He is 82 - what will we do when he retires or passes? He wears his knowledge so lightly, and passes it on so generously. Unlike that schmuck Ben Mankiewicz, who seems to be out to prove he knows the most of anyone in the room.
