Finance Assistant Heywood, Manchester £20,000 - £25,000 per annum Job type: Permanent, full-time Reference: 25826209 Organisation Description My client, based in Heywood, is look to recruit a new member in their finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties. This position is more suitable for candidates who have there own transport due to distance from train station. Job Description Reporting directly to the Finance Manager your main duties will include: • Preparation and timely publication of weekly operational reports including volumes, material usage/variance, labour and site operational scorecard reports. • Review employee expenses ensuring accurate coding and adherence to policy prior to payment. • Regular review and update of expenses form ensuring compliance with HMRC guidelines (incl car fuel rates). • Allocation of sales ledger receipts. • Credit management including monthly publication of latest debtor report. • Day-to-day banking, Processing of journals • Preparation and posting of weekly and monthly payroll journals. • Preparation of Inter-company recharges. • Completion of non-manual accrual balance sheet account reconciliations including debtors, creditors, vouchers and wages & salaries. • Assist in tracking of capex projects / close out in conjunction with Operations Accounting providing information to Financial Reporting Manager. • Preparation of monthly VAT returns, Intrastat & EC sales list. • Ad hoc credit checks. • Assist in preparation of monthly corporation tax pack information. • Preparation of weekly group cash forecast. • Cover for Purchase Ledger Administrator. Key Skill • A good communicator at all levels along with the tenacity to persevere through to a successful conclusion. • AAT studier • Excellent PC skills including knowledge of SAP, Cognos Analyst, Excel, & Outlook would be advantageous. • A keen interest in adding value through process.
