Accounts and Reporting • Maintain company accounting records in an accurate and timeous manner • Perform balance sheet reconciliations • Prepare bank reconciliations • Preparation of information to be included in monthly management reports including Advertising and subscription debtors reports • Reconciliation of Management accounts to Financial accounts • Maintain updated Debtors and creditors ageing statements • Regular debtors reports clearly indicating overdue amounts with reasons and actions • Ensure compliance to accounting standards under IFRS • Up to date record of Fixed Asset register 2. Auditors • Liaison with both internal and external auditors as required • Collation of information required for auditors • Key role in successful completion of yearly statutory audits including preparation of audit files 3. Payments • Collation of information and preparation of factsheet for spend • Send fact sheet for spend to be authorised by Region and Territory Head, support documents must be attached • Loading payments onto banking system for authorisation by Financial Manager/Group Finance Manager 4. Statutory Returns • Timely preparation of all statutory returns and taxes for review • Submission of returns subsequent to review • Preparation of supporting schedules for statutory tax return 5. Policies and Procedures • Support the Financial Manager and Finance Head with implementation and tracking of necessary policies and procedures • Takes a critical view of financial operations to identify opportunities to improve internal controls 6. Other Assignments • To assist if and when required requested with adhoc tasks as required by the Financial Manager The position would report to the Finance Manager - Africa.
