Find Someone Above, Equal And Below It’s important to have someone in your life that is “above” you, equal to you, and below you. For example, someone above you would be your dad’s rich and successful friend. Someone equal to you may be your best friend who you share similar core values, goals and interests with. A person below you may be someone who is content with his or her life and seeks comfort rather than change. If all you’ve ever known were people above you, you may get the feeling that you will never be worthy of success and that life is truly unfair. If all you’ve ever known were people equal to you, you will feel like this was normal and that change was never needed. If you have friends below you, you will end up being more and more like them eventually. Having the best of all 3 worlds allows you to put yourself in perspective and keep you in a constant state of uneasiness because you’ll always know that you can either grow, stay the same, or diminish.
