Find What Makes You Smile Sometimes, you have to take the proactive approach. You may have to go looking for things that will make you smile. You may have to search for what brings you joy. And the truth is, God wants you to smile. He wants you to be joyful and full of life. Early in the morning, make the decision to be happy. No matter what happens today to steal your joy and peace, choose to stay on the high road. Daily, we’re bombarded with many images. Many of these images are negative, degrading and are a bad influence in your life. Choose to put something in front of you that’s going to make you smile today. Put something in your ears that’s going to feed your spirit. Listen to a song that’s going to uplift and motivate you. Put a picture in front of your face that’s going to remind you of a good memory or dream. I’m a firm believer that you will acquire that which you seek after. You may be surrounded by chaos. Trouble may be on the horizon. But if you focus your attention on the way the circumstances look, you’ll continue to wallow in despair. Instead, choose to look for the good in life. Proverbs 11:27 says “if you search for good you will find favor; but if you search for evil it will find you.” There are blessings in God’s goodness. Scripture tells us every good and perfect thing comes from above. If you’ll seek the Lord’s goodness, He’ll favor you with joy and peace. Don’t look at all the trouble that’s surrounding you. If you take your eyes off Jesus and look at the waves in the sea of life, you will surely sink. So keep your eyes on Jesus today. Focus on every good thing He has placed in your life and you will surely smile!
