Finding Colors For #OpenConceptFloorPlans Written by Kelly on August 26th, 2014 Most homes built within the past ten years have been designed with an open floor plan for a more relaxed, but busy #lifestyle. As a color consultant, one of the biggest concerns my clients have is how to use color with an open #floorplan. I am working with a couple now that wanted to update their home color palette. Their first floor is an open concept floor plan. We are working in stages throughout her home and we are now working on stage one: Which is helping them select new colors for their entry, hallway, dining room and living room: The only #furnishings that we had to incorporate in our color scheme is their new set of furniture for the living room: Even though homes may have an open floor plan, each home color palette varies according to many different aspects of the design. In this home, the entry, hallway and living room all are open to each other. The dining room is off to the left side when you enter the front door: In this situation, I chose a neutral to go from the front entry, throughout the hallway on the first floor and nto the living room. I felt it looked choppy with the different existing paint colors and by using a neutral it would make the space look much more open. I also thought a soft neutral would give a more high end look to the home. At Spirit Property ..........We do it better!!! Call... Dennis Harris.......... Sales Director Viber: +94 77 205 3487 S.L.
