Finding Myself : Chapter 1 Friday, November 29, 2013 10:19 PM Doctors always fascinate me by the mere fact that they hardly live the healthy lives that they prescribe for their patients. I can testify to suffering of the same syndrome. I might not be a doctor but many of my friends and colleagues will confirm that I have been more or less there for them when they needed an ear or a shoulder to lean on. Many a time I have given award-winning advice but do I ever take it myself? Hardly... I guess its a problem many of us have. We somehow believe that the things we confess into other peoples lives apply only to theirs and not ours. We believe in this so-called exclusivity. Where we get this from, I wonder. God clearly states in Jeremiah 29:11 that all the plans He has for us are plans to prosper us, not to bring us any harm. This is not the first time I have quoted this verse and its not the last. The Word of God stands in my life, in your life, now and ever more. The things we pass through, the trials we face, are only there to strengthen us. God gave us dominion over the earth and all that is in it yet we live like tenants. Yes, we are aliens to this world, this is not our home. Heaven awaits our arrival when we leave this world. This does not mean we need not live in prosperity on the face of this earth. We are of a higher calling and thus we should live like kings on this earth. 1 Peter 2:9 Stop cramming yourself in a corner and belittling yourself. You are more than that. The Creator of the Universe considers you as His child and so you should live like one. Smile, be happy and live life to the fullest! #JaysooAnaysoo #AboutThatLife
