Finished recent chapter of Seikon no Qwaser, another monthly series I decided to follow. Its premise is interesting: cant say Ive seen it anywhere else. People called Qwasers, supported by various organizations, including the Eastern Orthodox churchs Athos organization (probably fictional group), can control a specific periodic element, with varying levels of power (theres an 8 tier system that hasnt been adequately explained). Theres an interesting source for the energy they use for this power, Soma: it comes from the breasts of women, mostly teenaged. The idea is that its a reference to the Madonna and Child, Mary, mother of Jesus, nursing the young messiah. But theres more: there are 6 relics, one of them the Theotokos (Divine Womb) holding various powers that the groups all want.
