Finjan Sues Palo Alto Networks for Patent Infringement The Recorder (11/05/14) Todd, Ross The cybersecurity patent licensing company Finjan Inc. has filed a lawsuit that claims Palo Alto Networks (PAN) infringed on 10 of its computer network security patents. The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Tuesday, says that Finjan could seek at least $60 million in damages. Before the suit, Finjan tried for more than a year to get PAN to take a patent license or invest in its business but was unsuccessful, said Julie Mar-Spinola, the companys vice president of legal operations. PAN has denied infringing the patents.
