Finnish Producer Prices Fall In May Producer prices in Finnish manufacturing sector declined in May from a year earlier, the latest figures from Statistics Finland showed Monday. Prices for manufactured products fell 0.4 percent year-on-year in May. Prices of products sold on the domestic market rose 0.5 percent, while that of export products went down by 1.5 percent. The decline was mainly due to reductions in prices of oil products, manufacturing of basic metals and electronic appliances compared with last year. The overall producer price index dropped 0.2 percent from April to May, mainly led by falls in the prices of electricity and oil products. The export price index fell 1.4 percent year-on-year in May and the import price index dropped 2.1 percent.
