Fire Information – Firestone Flats Monday, July 29, 2013 1:00 PM Cause: Under Investigation Detected: July 27, 2013 Location: Approximately 5 miles east northeast of Arlee, MT. Size: 1,750 acres Jurisdiction: Confederated Salish Kootenai Tribes, Lake County Narrative: Resources continue to arrive throughout this morning and today. Here is an updated list of resources: Resources: Three Hotshot crews (Lolo, Bitterroot, and Chief Mountain), Four Type 2 Initial Attack (IA) Crews (Muscalero, Grayback, Fort Apache, MOCCM), three Type 2 Crews (all from Ronan), 13 engines, 12 pieces of heavy equipment, five water tenders, two Type 2 helicopters, 1 Type 3 helicopter, and Air Attack. Upcoming Events: A public information meeting will be held at the Arlee High School again tonight at 8pm. Members of the Incident Management Team will be present to review what happened today, expectations for tomorrow, and address questions about the fire Closures: Current closures remain in effect: Jocko Road, Pistol Creek Road, and North Placid Lake Road are currently closed to the public.
