Fire fundraiser wrap up Bare with me as a heap of thank youse are due to everyone who chipped in to make this the best most funnest fundraising event we have held. After a recount, we ended up raising a tad over $3000 for the bushfire appeal. An awesome team effort. The first thank you goes out to you guys, our members, who all showed so much generosity to put the hand in the sky rocket and donate some cash to the fund. We threw at you plenty of additional ways of raising money beyond just working out, such as my hideous haircut, tanning the white boys, massages, coffee, BBQ and raffles. Money certainly doesnt grow on trees, but your generosity defined the quality of the people who are involved and train with in our community. Nothing is ever too hard or too big an ask. To have 70 plus of your own gym members getting amongst the action to raise money for something as real as this is as good as it gets, and shows the side of our gym that no publicist will ever write about. Thank you! Id like to thank Jenn, who once the event was set, did all the behind the scenes organising, money handling, raffle tickets and the rest of the nitty gritty, and doing it perfectly x, events coordinator of the year :) To my coaches, Kelvy, Muzz Wiesy, again, ever reliable and involved to make the day run as well as it did. Having you boys on deck is an absolute luxury and I am very grateful to have you all on board as coaches and leaders. To Amanda Wallis and Eddie Beer who I believe were the instigators of the hair cut fund and organisation via facebook? To Sarah Clay for donating her services and a physio pack to the raffle. Duane Butler for heading the BBQ Pat and Andi for being a couple of champs and getting dem white rigs turned bronze... Jodies Burwood for doing it... though I think you were the winner this times Jodes.... so much man in the tanning salon! Karn, paolo and I think Chris Davies? for doing the camera work once again? I may have missed a few? That is all that has come to mind, if I have missed any one imparticular I am sorry, in my mind it was a complete team effort anyway. So much time and energy of ours is put toward our own success and development, I for one, feel amazing knowing I, and my gym played a huge roll in helping some who have been very unfortunate, This is the other side of crossfit...... the other side of the PBs is the community we are. Thank you chamber Im very proud of US!
