Firefighters Dan, Carlos, Mike, and Steve, from the Montebello, California Fire Department were stationed outside of Marys House all last night ready to fight any fires that made it over the hill. They had been combatting the blazes all day yesterday in the Harmony Grove area, and were sent to Marys House in the evening for some rest. Promises2Kids Marys House, which is operated by YMCA Youth & Family Services, houses young women who are former foster youth. Marys House was in the path of the fire, and yesterday, around 1pm, was ordered to evacuate. All night the firefighters were stationed in the driveway keeping watch over the house and the neighborhood. Thanks to all the firefighters and law enforcement officials for keeping everyone safe! We hope the evacuation order is lifted in the next 24 hours, so the young women at Marys House can return home! #CocosFire
