Firms in the construction sector will soon need to have a minimum percentage of higher skilled workers on their payrolls. The move announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam Thursday is aimed at improving productivity in the sector. goo.gl/BZxen1 New rules will require that at least 10 per cent of work permit holders in each firm be classified as higher skilled.
