First National Agents Shine at National Awards Night Local Bundaberg agency, First National Real Estate McColms received two General Excellence and Marketing (GEM) Awards at a black tie dinner, attended by more than 350 agents from across Australasia and the South Pacific, during the network’s annual Convention held at the Darwin Convention Centre this week. The evening celebrated the best of the network’s national real estate performances over the past year, which according to First National Real Estate McColms principal, Heather Galley presented a range of different challenges for the profession. “Last year selling conditions improved but our staff had to work harder to win business as less property was available for sale,’ Ms Galley said. “Due to the rising market, it was essential for staff to be even more vigilant than normal with their appraisals, while remaining focused on balancing the expectations of home sellers and buyers.” “The GEM Awards are a recognition of that hard work and teamwork, and it is encouraging to see winners coming from all over Australia.” On the night First National McColms received two rural category awards: • Highest Number of Settled Sales • Highest Number of Exclusive Listings Ms Galley said the First National GEM Awards are an important event as they present an opportunity for members to come together and celebrate their achievements as well as to learn about the systems and processes that enabled their colleagues to win awards.
