First Quarter Update Re: Sales Horses, Broodmares, and Babies: I appreciate the interest this first quarter and apologize for the confusion, too. My sales agreements spell out all records; histories; and if applicable, future embryo retention in a show mare. I have sold top mares with embryos which have a value of $10,000 to me, derived from the sales that I have had for foals in 2012 and 2013...not the past. I do not sell a right to a future embryo to all mares, just a handful, and will even wait until a mare is completely retired as a show mare which may be 7-8 years from the sales date. However, I will adhere to an embryo in a sales contract unless a mutually agreed upon sum is offered for it to those who do not want any future encumbrances which I understand and respect a great deal, too. I will offer new foals at prices for 30 days or certain time periods and then will take the foals off of the market or increase their prices as I know much more about them after the first 30 days which are the most critical to me. I have been very correct and also very wrong in the past 35 years. It is harder to truly ascertain the HUS babies while it is much more easier with the WP foals. Prices are usually cheapest in utero; within the first 2 weeks of foaling; and then increase by weaning if the foal is really special. IF the foal is nice, average, or not as great as initially expected, the price will probably decline dependent upon a desire to cut overhead and risk. Again, I have bought and sold Congress and World Champions for less than $15,000 as babies...even less than $10,000. I will have an opinion about a foal, but babies can change dramatically with the Hunt Seat foals...the one thing that will not change is a strong hock which is mandatory while their flatness does change with growth spurts. 2014 Foals for Sale: 1/14/2014--Olaf was taken off of the market on 3/15/2014. 3/02/2014--Elsa is by Lazy Loper and out of our Zippo Jack Bar mare. She is bay, strong, great boned, stout, and a deep hocked loper. Her half brother by RLBOS will be showing in the major Longe Line classes this year. $10,000 3/09/2014--Anna is an sorrel, elegant, sweepy, flat, and pretty mover by Hot N Blazing and out of our Congress Champion, Mintubee Certifiable. $10,000 4/07/2014--Sven is a solid bay, straight legged, huge colt by Hot N Blazing and out of our Congress Top 10 mare, Mydetailsaremissing. $6,000 5/ ??/2014--Hot N Blazing foal out of Congress Champion, Lukes Fabulous. This foal will be priced for sale regardless of gender for the first 30 days. Youth, Novice, and Select Show Horses: PRETTY IN HOT PINK--We love Pinky and have been so grateful to an outstanding farrier who stated that there was no reason that she was out for her 3 year old year. With one reset and proper angles, Pinky has been sound for nearly 6 months now and is ready to show in the Open classes and has the mind for the Novice classes. I understand completely that Pinky is in a show me mode for any trainer or potential buyer. I am just sick that I did not have the present farrier last January...the good news is that I would not allow a PPE or an individual to waste a penny if I did not think that Pinky would not pass. I will not haul my horses to winter shows in the cold...it is not worth the risk while I always aim at major circuits in the summer with my Futurity horses. Therefore, Pinky is ready to show for any trainer and will be outstanding for any Novice youth or ammy. I will ask for a future embryo from her or compensation if not allowed. She got 14 points in her first outing and I think that she could easily get qualified in the Open, Ammy, or Select in 2 circuits? $45,000 WHISPER SUMTHIN HOT--Fiona is so much like Pinky and is entered in the Congress 3s. She has been sound but has had a small, floating chip that will need to be taken out rather than risk having it cause a problem when we least expect or need it to? So, she will have it taken out this month and then rehabbed before we offer her for sale. All records will be disclosed from when she was evaluated with flying colors right before Congress; her excuse from the Congress class evaluation; her 10/28/13 exam; her pre-surgical and post-surgical exams; and her final, release exam whenever that occurs in May. She will have the surgery done at Rood and Riddle. She is going better than ever, but it cannot loom for the big classes or future. She could go show next weekend and is just outstanding minded just like Pinky. INVITEMEAFTERMIDNITE--Sasha is a blank slate with a freaky flat, front leg and stunning eye appeal. She is green but coming along nicely. All x-rays and history will be provided for her. She has been completely sound after healing from the different abscesses since December. She is a great minded mare who should increase with more training, finishing, and showing. She is a serious, future Congress All-around horse. $20,000 for April only. PROM QUEEN DIVA--Kree is just magnificent! She is so, so sweet and just gorgeous while presently at 161. She is very trainable....much more focused than I thought that she would be under saddle. She has one of the greatest Hunt Seat Dams in the Industry while her beauty and talent will draw everyones attention. Kree is a Masters horse for the serious trainer and owner who really want to win the Masters and then have a top NP horse in 2015 and thereafter an exquisite and royally bred broodmare. If you desire an exotic, gorgeous, and talented mare...she is it. Kree could be prepared for the Open and NP Congress HUS 2s, but she just demands the Masters, to me. $50,000 HOT N FABULOUS--Ari is growing just like her dam who we started for the Congress HUS in July of her 2 year old year in 2006 when she made the finals. Ari has outstanding legs and bloodlines while she lopes like a Western horse and has a bigger trot than her size. She should mature to 161 like her dam, but she is not going to be a 17 mare. Ari is under saddle and would also be a Masters horse with her great legs, but she does not have the size and grandeur of Kree which is part of the whole equation. Now, I would want to have her in the Congress Masters with a Limited trainer or in the Congress Open and NP 2s. $25,000 3 in 1 Breeding Packages: I have separated the foals from the mares but 3 of our mares are for sale as a package: Mydetailsaremissing bred back to Hot N Blazing with her Hot N Blazing colt by her side. $18,500 Mintubee Certifiable bred back to Hot N Blazing with her Hot N Blazing filly by her side. $27,500 Hot Blond at the Bar bred back to Lazy Loper with her Lazy Loper filly on her side. $25,000 Thank you for your interest and continued consideration and support for my breeding program and show horses.
