First Wash The green and purple quilt with the cross was hand sewn by my dad a few years ago. Yip, my dad... with the help of my mom of course:) Those were the colors of my room growing up and purple was his favorite color. He designed the cross because he saw my boyfriend wearing a cross on his shirt. He was one of those men who could do anything he set his mind to and especially if you told him he couldnt do it. lol He would find a way. I come from a family of crafters, artist, musicians. There is so much more to art than just an object to admire. Each piece carries a story, a whisper of someones soul, their character, their life, their light. This piece of art to me is priceless. There is so much of him in it. My dad passed away in April, from the big C a really rare form called Mycosis Fungoides. And now I have this to treasure forever. A piece of art he made with his own hands. Priceless. And it was some day on Clothes!!!!!!
