First buy 1 gallon bucket of ice cream and it eat it all, because you r going to need the container. Start with a gallon of vitamin d until you get the hang of it. Then u can use 2% or low fat milk. And a small plain yogurt, 6 or 8 ounce . Pour the milk into a nice heavy pot . Put it like medium. It takes a while dont try to rush it or it will scorch the milk. It goes faster if u leave your milk out and let it get to room temperature. Let it come to a soft boil until it rises to the top. Then take it off heat and let cool of some what then pour it in your container. I usually take a teaspoon of it and pour it over my finger it has to b hot but not burn your finger. Then wait few and check it again dont do it when its real hot or u will burn yourself you wlll see when it stops steaming. Then take like 2 or 3 tablespoons of the plain yogurt and beat it with a fork until its like smooth , add it to your milk, cover it and put it somewhere out if draft I put it in the oven. If you have a gas oven that had a pilot its good cause it works like an incubator. I have electric so I cover it up wrap a small blanket around it. You have to irregardless, it has to stay warm. Do not move it for at least 6 to 8 hours. Thats why I do it in the evening so I can leave it over night. Then uncover it and youll see it has congealed. Then put 2 or 3 paper towels on top of it press very gently. Placed it in the fridge. You have to let it set for at least 2 days every 6 or 8 hours change your paper towels. They will be soaked that is the excess water. The more you pull da water out the thicker your yogurt will be . Greeks use a towel and they wring it out I like paper towels because its cleaner. Its not a fast process it takes time but its worth it then its half way you can start another batch as long as you pull the water out of it it keeps along time. I like putting fresh peaches or strawberries or little bit strawberry or grape jam. But it is really good with honey and chopped nuts. Good luck if you have any problems call me. Enjoy
