First day. The Underworld is pretty creepy. Seattle became a thriving city after the great fire of 1889. It began with a man named John Back, as he was heating up a cube of glue that overflowed and caught fire. Back then every establishment was wooden made. He attempted to put out the fire with water, but the fire oil and waters chemical reaction ignited the flames even more. He panicked and ran away from the scene was never heard from again. Until years later a descendant came forth and remarkably told her story of how John changed his last name in order to maintain secrecy of his accident causing an entire city to rebuild. Much to this horrible accident, the city found their way to taking something catastrophic into a positive outcome. A new beginning.... And here lies a city full of secrets underground. I encourage you to read more about the city and its historical facts. The one thing that fascinates me most, was their red light district had their first male transgender working in a bathhouse or bunny ranch as we might call it. His picture is shown inside the gift shop.
