First of all I want to state I dont like division. Some of you may be aware that a small minority of people are against having the new art sculptures here in Duleek. I attended 2 public meetings, First one, I was the only cllr there, with 17 people and the 2nd one 50 people attended inc 7 politicians. 25 people voted for a whole new competition and consultation process to start again. I believe that this is not reflective of the views of all the people in this area. I like the art. I want to see them installed in our village and become part of our future. So in the next few weeks I hope to organise a positive support meeting for the Duleek sculptures. I hope that more than 50 people take the time out to come and support it. I may even invite the artist to come, but those of you that are against it, you have had your say,now let the people, families and young people of Duleek voices be heard..I will keep you all updated.
