First of all an apology to most of you and using a forum to make - TopicsExpress

First of all an apology to most of you and using a forum to make the point, often is the case the minority spoil it for the rest of us and as Facebook seems to be a prime outlet for most igit’s, numpty’s and those opinionated people to voice/boast about anything and everything, this seemed an appropriate place to voice. Quite simply, for those minority who ride like a wanker, you do spoil it for the rest of us, because you are a wanker, then all of us use get tarnished with that brush. I ride 3-4 times a week rain or shine, commute or pleasure, I also cycle a 2-3 times a week so I get to see lot of this bad behaviour. I’ll admit most of it is car drivers, impatience, ignorance or pure oblivion. So the main point, I live on an main road, with a 40mph limit past the house and whilst there are numbers of cars that exceed the limit, it’s those of you on your bikes with an illegal pipe (and usually plate) that persist in doing +40mph usually in 2nd or 3rd gear to make as much noise as possible, that really stand out and come across as that ‘wanker’. I have an Arrow system on my bike, though a built up area, just use a higher gear, you’ve got at least five (probably six) to keeps revs down and pass by unnoticed. The majority of the public are not bikers, so aren’t bothered about hearing a twin, triple, 4-cyl machine ‘on the pipe’ 30mph is there for a reason, just obey it, there are plenty of open roads awaiting you 40mph, so you could argue 42-43mph is OK, but it’s still a built up area, +50mph and overtaking cars doing the limit is not on, back to being that ‘wanker’ again. 50mph and national limits, what you do in these areas is at your discretion and I do agree with many that there seems to be a mass increase in 50mph for whatever reason, and as the national limit is 60mph, they do seem like a waste of space, but this doesn’t mean you should save time by exceeding 30 and 40mph limits. In the Swadlincote area, there is a particular igit on a GSXR, probably a 1000 to make up for having a small manhood, who is particularly inept at reading a speed limit sign and/or speedo and also at getting past 3rd gear. Once again, apologies to most of you to whom this doesn’t apply, but to those minority that is does, stop being a wanker and spoiling it for the rest of us being tarnished with same brush as a result of your reckless behaviour. If you’re that good, get an ACU license and show it every weekend.
