First of all, hes paying lip service to international law when its convenient for him and the U.S. government to do so, but the U.S. completely ignores international law when its not. As the video makes clear, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has most certainly not asked for U.S. help bombing Syria. Any U.S. actions there will not only be unwanted, theyll be blatantly illegal, like the vast majority of help the U.S. offers countries, i.e. bombs, murder and chaos. Speaking of which, who invaded Saddams Iraq? Were Iraqis begging to be bombed back to the Stone Age when the U.S. shocked and awed the people of Iraq, leading to hundreds of thousands of deaths? Recall that other classic idiotic remark from Kerry in an interview with NBCs Meet the Press on March 2nd of this year: You just dont invade another country on phony pretext in order to assert your interests.
