First of all when the police ask you to show ID, its a good idea to show it and not argue, as it is a law that we are all required to carry ID, whether we agree with the law or not, it is the law. And 2nd resisting arrest we already know can get us hurt, arrested or killed. Why antagonize the situation, that could harm you! Being cooperative might keep this from happening and if excessive force is applied and you are being cooperative, then hopefully it will be evidence that you were unjustly treated, especially if you are fortunate that someone is filming the whole situation. In this case, I personally think this man made it worse for himself.
