First off, please let me thank you all who have been respectful, consistent patrons!!! Now for my rant: Im not sure if its just in the stars, but this past week has shown more disrespect than the whole winter put together, and from year-round residents! It started when the owner of another restaurant in edgartown came in and tried to steal myself, (not realizing i was the owner), and my employee for her business. I dont care what offers you make my employees outside of their current job, but dont ever go headhunting in someone elses establishment! Especially when that business has a help wanted sign in their own window! How rude! Secondly, weve received awards from the MV Garden club both years weve been open. We try to beautify our town by keeping our flower boxes full and well kept. However someone felt that they really needed our pink flamingo and a few other steel ornaments that were in place until we plant flowers. To whomever stole them, I hope that these items bring you the happines youre so clearly missing in your life. Finally, a customer and child came in, while we were busy, and began to order. Right in the middle of the order, she called another restaurant to place an order, making me and the customer behind her wait until she was done! Please stow your phones when ordering unless youre receiving an order via text. The season hasnt even started yet! Calm down, no ones that important, and if they were, theyd probably have their personal aide fetching their food... Rant over. Sorry, but while these issues were tolerable independently of one another, when theyre all in one week, they really got under my skin.
