First saw this album in a record shop in Kuching, and I bought it - TopicsExpress

First saw this album in a record shop in Kuching, and I bought it as I like some of its songs from the roaring twenties and thirties, which I first heard from the crooner Al Bowlly. Ferrys take on these nostalgic oldies was unacceptable to me at first, as I was used to the old tempo. But it grew on me, and is now my favourite nostalgia album...Well, it was reported that the acclaimed director Wong Kar-wai was inspired by Ferrys version of Im in the Mood for Love in this album for the title of his movie, and lately The Great Gatsby engaged Ferry for its soundtrack too...My fave tracks: Miss Otis Regrets, Lover Come Back To Me, Falling In Love Again.
