First sibling to call mom on moms day and make her cry! I win! (Crying in the moms just cry when you say nice things to them kinda cry) By the time my mom was 25 she was raising 3 kids in the forest while my dad was commercial fishing in Alaska 9 months out of the year to make a life for us back home. She made a lot of our clothes by hand, hand spun wool for our socks, churned our butter, fixed the well pump when it went dry, taught my brother to throw a baseball, spent 2 nights out of the week washing and combing my ankle length hair, chopped wood for our fires, repainted the house every other year, shared her thrift store treasure hunting skills, taught me to paint, drove me and my brother to countless taekwondo classes and tournaments, tried to teach me not to be so boy crazy ;) and definitely taught me to keep things weird.
