First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak - TopicsExpress

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. ----------------------------- This is a famous statement and provocative poem attributed to pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the cowardice of German intellectuals following the Nazis rise to power and the subsequent purging of their chosen targets, group after group (Wikipedia). Nowadays one of the so called modern cultures I noticed in our generation is to say I dont give a darn whenever they have the chance. Stop being so self centered. Because each time you dont give darn where you supposed to, you are giving the evil a chance to endanger your own future.
