First year of dental school. Done. It hasnt been an easy feat and Ive only finished one year so far, but I cant help and think about all of the disappointments, struggles, sacrifice, and hard work Ive gone through just to be where Im at. Finishing high school was already a big leap under my circumstances. At the time, I did think about going straight to work just to help my family pay rent and bring food on the table. Who knew I could also get a full scholarship and get a degree in college? Who knew Id be able to help shape younger minds by being a teacher? Who knew after years of applying, that Id be able to actually enter dental school? Desire, Dedication, Determination, Discipline. 4 little words that I always think about when life got me down. Constantly think about what you want and work hard for it, because it will pay off. It does pay off. I really am so thankful to be here and I sincerely think that I wouldnt have been able to do it without the support of my family and friends.
