Fish 65 by Garam masala Preparation time: 2 hours 30 minutes Cooking time: 20 minutes Serves 4 INGREDIENTS: Fish - 500gms, cleaned and cut into small cubes (boneless) Ginger paste – 1 tsp. Garlic paste – 1 tsp. Curry leaves. Cumin – 1 tsp. Ginger chopped – 4 nos. Garlic chopped – 2 inch piease. Green chillies 3-4 nos. Lemon Juice – 1 tsp. Red chilly powder – 1 tsp. Pepper powder – ½ tsp. Egg – 1 no. Corn flour (corn starch) – 2 tsp. Edible red colour. Oil – for frying. Salt. Method of Preparation: Clean and cut fish into small cubes. Mix fish with ginger paste, garlic paste, pepper powder, corn starch, salt and egg. Mix well and refrigerate this mixture for about 2 hours to let the marinade work its magic on the fish pieces. You can even leave it overnight if you want to prep it ahead. Heat the oil in a pan. The amount of oil should be enough to almost cover the pieces. Gently add the marinated fish pieces one by one without overlapping. Fry on a low flame until golden brown. Turning every once in a while. The outside should turn a dark golden brown otherwise the fish wont be cooked through. Drain on paper towels. Now our fried fish is ready. Then heat oil in the same pan that we used to fry fish. Add cumin, chopped ginger, chopped garlic, green chillies and curry leaves and fry it. Add pepper powder and red chilly powder, again fry it. Pour 2-3 tsp. of edible red colour. Then add fried pieces of fish to the pan. Give everything a quick stir and serve hot. Hot and spicy Chicken 65 is ready! Serve with lemon wedges and freshly sliced red onions. Enjoy!!!
