Fish Oil Intensive Update: 2nd week With a lot of hope and close observation, we kept our son on the intensive dose, 15 caps/9 grams daily, for another week. And so glad we did! This week his energy glow lasted from Saturday to Wednesday, another day longer than last week. Also we had the remarkable experience of watching him act, speak, and respond with more normalcy than at any point since his accident. Amazing! It was several days of so many small improvements that I was in awe. Now, I am talking subtle things. Moving around in his chair more spontaneously and effectively, reaching to change the car radio, handing me his plate when finished and with both hands. Too many things on this level to recount. All never observed before though. But a few bigger things; asking his PT questions and responding with a description of sensation. Starting up his big master computer (which he had built himself pre-TBI) and not getting sucked into just staring at it. But actually able to accomplish his chosen task of moving some movies onto a zip drive to use with his laptop. A few more of this type of accomplishments. Most importantly, able to know what day of the week it was all day and remember his schedule for the next day. With the encouragement of our Neuro-Chiro, we are going to sustain at this higher dose for another week before moving to the maintenance dose, 10caps/6 grams daily. I will update again and will be in touch with Dr. Lewis from BHERI. this weekend. Several people have asked me to query him about krill oil and I will get back to you with those answers. xo
