Fishermen rescued after boat upturns - Bundeena Three fisherman were winched to safety to an Ambulance helicopter at Jibbon Head, Bundeena last Saturday morning after their vessel upturned. Police allege the fishermen, a 26 year old Northmead, a 27 year old and a 31 year old Bankstwon males launched their boat at Gunnamatta Bay, Cronulla at about 9pm on Friday 16 January 2015. At about 12am on Saturday 17 January, Police received a distress call and were deployed to the Bundeena area searching for the fisherman, who had allegedly been thrown from the vessel which had upturned. A short time later the trio were located on rocks. They were winched by the CareFlight helicopter and taken to Bundeena Oval for an assessment. The three were taken to Sutherland Hospital to Sutherland Hospital suffering shock and abrasions.
