Fishing Report for Carroll County 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake! Hey friends it was cold and slow at the lake last week but I still managed to catch a few! The bass have been biting crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jigs and soft plastic baits fishing very slow in the coves in 3 to 9 feet of water with water temps ranging from 42 to 46 degrees and temps near the dam have been a bit warmer. Bluegill have been biting worms, small spinners and jigs in 4 to 7 feet of water in the coves and in 12 to 16 in the main lake. Crappie are biting in 6 to 10 feet of water on Road Runner type lures and in 14 to 16 feet of water on jigs tipped with minnows. Catfish have been slow but are still biting worms,livers and cut bait. Get out for a bit of fishing this week while we have a few nice days! Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and look for us in the Huntingdon Christmas parade again this year! Hook a bigun! Steve O.
