Fishing without a hook? One method I use to locate new honey - TopicsExpress

Fishing without a hook? One method I use to locate new honey holes is to not use a hook but just take a snap from a swivel and clip the bream to the line. This allows you to pull the Carolina rig through heavy brush without continually getting hung up and having to break off and re-tie. The big bass will try to eat the bream and sometimes it is hard to pull it away from the fish. Once we get a bite, I mark a way point and then follow my trail back to the spot using a hook this time. We found another large concentration of big bass today and boated around 20 that averaged 5-6 lbs. Enjoy the video and lets go catching!
