Five years ago today, I decided to start a diet. I had done diets before, but always gave up after a few weeks. Although they had failed in the past, I was determined not to fail. I didnt use any weight loss organizations, I just counted my calories, and rewarded myself one day of the week for sticking to it. I also didnt starve myself. I knew what calories I put in, I had to make sure I burnt them. I didnt spend the money on a gym.( Can you tell we are tight with our money?....lol!) I considered the farm my gym. I would walk laps around the sheds, walk around the pond, and run up and down our stairs. By June, I had lost sixty pounds! It was such an amazing feeling to put on clothes and not feel as if you had to hide all of the imperfections. Five years later.....I still am at the same weight, give or take a few pounds. Instead if counting calories now, I watch my fat intake( I have no choice, now., with my health problem) One thing I would have done differently, was avoiding Diet Coke. Trust me, it is Bad News! I just want to motivate anyone out there looking for that perfect diet. There isnt one. It all starts with your own will. Im definitely not skinny, but I feel more confident and proud of myself for sticking with it.😊
