Five years ago today I received a letter telling me that I would no longer be a graduate university professor. My contract for the next year would not be renewed. As I was supposed to be promoted to full professor, the only reason that I could imagine why i would be fired would be the publication of my (then) new book, Its Only a Demon, four months earlier. I was devastated. Five years later I can state confidently that that which the enemy intended for evil, God intended for good. He set me from the bondage of being a residential professor. Since then the deliverance work has grown tremendously with the deliverance ministry of Spiritual Interventions, Inc. being available at four sites in VA. I had the opportunity to expose thousands of new people to this ministry of our Savior as I speak and provide training. Ive had the time to publish a new book entitled Transformative Encounters: The Intervention of God in Christian Counseling and Pastoral Care and, most importantly, I have had the privilege of seeing miracles in the lives of Gods children take place every day. I live an amazing life with more variety in God than I could ever conceive. What the enemy intended for evil, God intended for good. He has been so gracious to me.
