Author: Editor Posted: November 12, 2014 Yesterday, we celebrated Veterans Day and remembered all of those who gave their lives to keep America free. And with Obama spending the past few days with Communist Chinese leaders, he was strangely silent for an American President on this important day. But if there is one President who always stood by our troops, it is former President George W. Bush. Watch (above) his remarks on a Bush Institute Military Initiative video. His organization does the important work of helping veterans re-enter civilian life. All of our veterans make major sacrifices on the battle field, but it’s hard for people to realize just how hard it is for veterans to return to a normal life back in this country. As Bush reminds us (above), “We can never fully repay the debt we owe to the men and women who wear the uniform, but it is our duty to try.” He continued: This veterans day, Laura and I join our fellow Americans in saluting all the brave men and women who have served in the United States armed forces.
